Hello, Blackhat fam! We decided that you might want to know a little about the awesome men and women that make this company work. An EXTREMELY clever member of the Blackhat team came up with some questions to dive into each employee's mind and tell you a bit about them. We started with Glen, the man who started it all.

Nuts and Bolts

1. How did you start vaping?

My friend was at Square One and he had a friend that had moved to New York. She came back and brought him the first pen style e-cigarette. I was like, “What the hell is that?” He said, “It’s an e-cigarette.” Wait, at that time it was “electronic cigarette”. Everything was spelled out. So I tried it and it was, just, really nice. I dunno, it was like a whole new experience and the more and more I looked into it, the more I found there’s not a lot of harmful stuff in it. I think the first one I bought was from, Ebay and it was just a little, you know, small e-cigarette with a cartridge where it had a little coil sticking out of it and you snap the cartridge on, and that was fun for a little while.

2. Why did you start Blackhat Vapor?

I felt like it truly was going to help people, and everyone wants a job that’s rewarding where you can help people and make a living. And honestly, I knew I was going to use them and I didn’t want to have to pay for it, haha.

3. What type of flavors do you usually vape?

That’s a tough one. It’s usually all over the place. Right now I’m vaping a peach tea, sometimes I’ll have a tobacco flavor. I like strawberry and cream, like you (do). When I’m using a bigger (device) I’ll vape some of the desserty flavors.

4. What’s your favorite juice right now?

Whatever’s in my tank *laughs* It would have to be Carolina Gold overall because, you know, I really like the simple tobaccos.

5A. Where do you see the vaping industry in 1 year’s time?

I think that the FDA is going to slow down. There’s no proof or anything like that, but I think, given that there’s so many lawsuits pending, and I feel like people are just more aware of what the FDA is trying to do now, that there’s going to be quite a bit of resistance when it comes to actually shutting down shops. I know they’ve already done it in some states, but I there’s a lot of places that, when they try to do it on a major scale, that people are going to start fighting back.

5B. 5 years?

Well, hopefully if everything goes ok, I think it will just stay steady. I don’t see that’s it going to have much more explosive growth like it did because people are kind of settling down into, you know, the devices that are available. There’s not been many major technology breakthroughs lately. Things are just going to start getting cheaper and smarter: better juice, cleaner coils and stuff like that. And I think that people are going to slowly go back to vaporizers that work for, you know, addiction. Not making a whole bunch of vapor and cloud chasing and all that… people are going to look for something simple that works. I think in 5 years, things will just be more steady. Obviously there’s going to be a lot more users…but it’ll be kind of like the way things are right now, just a little bit bigger.

6. What’s the strangest juice flavor you’ve tried?

I guess it was probably pizza. What was strange is that, the first time I tried it, I didn’t mind it that much.

Fun Stuff

1. Zombies, robots, vampires, or werewolves?

Like…for what?
*That’s the question*
Umm, robots! That was easy.

2. If the zombie apocalypse were to happen tomorrow, where would you hole up?

An island somewhere. I would find an island and defend it.

3. You just won the lottery; what’s the first thing you do with the money?

Umm, pay off all of my family’s debt.

4. Would you rather always have to sleep in jeans and shoes or sleep with a motorcycle helmet on?

Could I make modifications to this helmet?
*No, it’s a helmet that comes off the shelf*
Ok, jeans and shoes then. That’s really easy. There’s no way anybody picked the helmet!

5. Would you rather have the ability to fly 3 times in your life, or the permanent ability to walk on water?

Permanently walk on water! That’s another easy question. We need to work on these questions.
*heated debate over the merits of flying vs. flying ensues*

6. What’s your dream vacation?

My dream vacation? Umm, probably *Kristin yells from the back room “China!* Yeah, China. I want to go to those mountains that don’t look like mountains, you know?

7. Tell us an embarrassing story.

I was building a new wall in the lab and I nailed my finger between a piece of the frame and the existing wall.

8. If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Umm, salt and vinegar potato chips. Or pickle potato chips.
*we move onto the next question*
I can’t believe I didn’t say noodles!

10. If you had free, unlimited 5 years of service from one of these professionals, which would you choose:
• Chef
• Masseuse
• Chauffer
• Housekeeper
• Personal Assistant

Hmm. Well the personal assistant could do so many things! (He/she) could cook for me, but it wouldn’t be as good as the chef. (He/she) could give me massages, but it wouldn’t be as good as the masseuse. (He/she) could do aaaaaaaaall of those things!
